This home is 11 years old. It has 3,100 SF of living space, not including a large finished basement. There is a lower level master suite with it's own bathroom. There is a den/office/5th bedroom off the foyer. When we built the house, we had 2 bathrooms built, the master and the main, both with separate showers and large jetted bathtubs. Since then, we have added a 1/2 bathon the lower level. The main common areas are on the second floor. We chose this because of the beautiful views from the decks. There is a deck on the front and a deck on the back. The house is placed on an angle so you get views of both the sunrise and the sunset. The entire upstairs common areas, except for the TV room, have all been redone in brand new cork floors. The TV room is carpet. The kitchen cabinets are maple, and there are lots of them. In May of xxxx, we had all new granite counters put in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen ceiling is done in metal, (tin tiles). We had a custom pot rack built fit our kitchen angles perfectly. All appliances stay. There are many premium light fixtures throughout the home. For example, we paid $1,400.00 for the foyer light and $950.00 for the the master bedroom light. All lighting stays. When we began to build this house, the yard was a farm field. Since then, we have planted cherry trees, apple trees, pear trees, as well as many other beautiful plants. We have a giant pond that we have meticulously maintained, chemical free, in order to make it good for swimming. Every year we use an all natural, vegetable based blue dye that blocks the UV rays so that the plants on the bottom of the pond bed don't overgrow. One of the greatest things about our home is that it is super energy efficient. The exterior of the house is done in Dryvit, which is a material that looks like stucco, but lasts longer. It's the same stuff that the Taco Bell restaurants are done in. Prior to applying the Dryvit, the house was wrapped in a thick layer of a non-flammable foam type material, making our house maintain heat or cold like a cooler. Also, we spent the extra money and had a Geo-Thermal furnace installed. If you don't know a lot about Geo-Thermal and want to research it, our system is an "Open-Loop" system, which pulls from water underground and releases it into our pond. Plus, the cork floors we installed serve as a natural insulator as well as being a renewable resource. Removing cork from trees does not kill them. The cork regrows in the center of the trees.
